10 Years a Comedian 3 in a Skirt

Imagine a comedy line-up show where all acts are one person spread over 10 years? Now you don’t have to.

In 2008 a new face appeared, or rather didn’t, in Auckland comedy as a one-off. Julia Clement portrayed an incompetent Grim Reaper with show business ambitions. In 2013 she returned rubbishing hand sanitizer. In 2015 she regularly performed oddball scientifically sound comedy. In late 2015 Julia gave up the struggle and came out as a transgender woman with very different material. For 3½ years Julia was Auckland’s only M2F stand-up comedian.

Now she again includes comedy based on her unique look at science and technology.

MC Tessa Clement introduces 6 significant acts from Julia’s first 10 years as a comedian with Julia performing the original script live using her 2019 performing skills with the video of the original performance playing silently in the background for authenticity. Auckland’s other M2F transgender comedian Nicola Redmond makes a guest performance.
