Tracing Spaces

‘Tracing Spaces’ is a multi-disciplined exhibition of creative work that explores the conceptual ecologies between the maker and the subject. The experiences of persona (the inner space), geography (the physical space) and machine (the extended space) are visually explored by each artist in an approach that is speculative and transformative.

Banding together under the umbrella of Tracing Spaces, Don Chooi, Tammie Leong and Simon Nicholls weave together bodies of work that speaks of the inner anxieties of gay body acceptance, the inherent joy and anticipation of experiencing weather changes, and the playfulness of discovery that comes with experimenting the creative self with technology. Each of the artists present a creative body of work that is each in its own right, explorative and contemplative, and is very much a chrysalis – a work that is still in progress. Tracing Spaces is indeed an ongoing journey, as how can you have an ending to a truly human perspective and evolution?

This online exhibition invites the viewer to peek into the artists’ creative spaces and their mindful approach to the ecologies that these works are situated. Check out the exhibition here!
