REAL
Chai finds himself immersed in an impossible, sometimes comical, wrestle with his mind as he attempts to follow his inner voice through the noise and onto stage.
Murmon, one of Chai’s three inner characters, adds much colour to this ‘one man’ show as he tries every tactic to derail the ‘stupendous idea’ of being on stage. What evolves is a twisting adventure, doused with tough lessons, humour and zeal. Chai’s skilful embodiment of the various characters will leave audiences with holograms of a bigger cast. "The actors physicality is outstanding" - Martina Baanvinger, DramaLab director.
Based on his true story, everybody will relate to the themes of self worth, trust, fear, purpose and healing as Chai peels back the layers to shine a light on just how it is to be human! The debut of REAL was described as “courageous, raw, profound, heartbreaking, funny and astounding” and “a play that prompts self-enquiry” - Tauri Tauri.
