Junk and Disorderly
DyCypher Productions and Auckland Fringe present:
Step in to our living room and see what happens when you turn your head. When you are away, the furniture gets up to play. Disco groovy moves and slippery socks may be involved. Also milk. (Almond milk, obviously).
Still Life is a blend of performance styles. It's live. It's fun. It's a bit cringe. It's life. Originally created as part of 2017's Four Leaps//One Point, this piece was choreographed by Celina Torres and performed by a cast of bright and exciting dancers. The first time around, it was described as; "excessively expressive", likened to a; "cake decorating computer game" and "increasingly chaotic" (Theatreview). And now it's back, bigger and better and powered by a treasure trove of New Zealand's finest junk.
We have Cece choreographing this new version, alongside DyCypher Productions, and with some help from a dramaturge superstar.
