Dominic Blaazer and Auckland Fringe present:
The Lights of Te Atatu
An Auckland Fringe Festival presentation, this show is the premiere of Dominic Blaazer's latest body of work. Featuring a tiny orchestra in a tiny theatre with a brave new set from a brave new voice. What's not to love?
Born in Jamaica, evolved in London and matured in Auckland, singer/songwriter Dominic Blaazer is proud to present his latest body of work at the 2017 Auckland Fringe. A lifetime musician, Blaazer recorded a John Peel session, toured in the UK and Europe and guested with the cream of our scene since 1992, for example, SJD, The Clean, Don McGlashan, Greg Fleming, The Chills. "The Lights of Te Atatu" comprises Blaazer's latest set of songs, sung and performed by a small ensemble that is part-orchestra/part-pop group.
The intimate setting of the Tiny Theatre is a perfect place to appreciate Blaazer's well-seasoned voice and blend of chamber pop in the greatest traditions of songwriting.
